Our team is currently looking for a Part-Time Merchandiser to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. The Merchandiser’s main job function is to assist with sales and create brand awareness. A sales merchandiser should have knowledge of our products as they relate to the deli.

Pay Rate: $19.00-$22.00 based on experience

The duties of a Dietz & Watson Merchandiser include, but are not limited to:

1. Safely operate a deli slicer
2. Set up deli cases and appropriately rotate deli product
3. Understand and execute schematics/planograms
4. Maintain marketing displays using Dietz & Watson Point of Sale (POS)
5. Be a self-starter, work in a team environment, or with little supervision
6. Manage time effectively and productively
7. Complete all necessary reports, including store surveys
8. Provide coverage to all stores within the assigned territory based on store ranking
9. Make regular store visits, document concerns/problems, and address them timely
10. Build and maintain customer relationships through high-level customer service techniques
11. Create and market Dietz & Watson programs
12. Train new store deli hires on the merits of Dietz & Watson and refresh training as needed
13. Communicate relevant information to Merchandiser Manager
14. Utilize monthly sales reports to achieve 100% distribution
15. Explore opportunities for sales growth with Merchandiser Manager
16. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
17. Perform special projects outside of the assigned territory
18. Travel as needed, including flying, up to 30% of the time
19. Read and write English
20. Possess computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
21. Demonstrate communication, organization, creativity, and customization skills
22. Exercise independent decision-making regularly
23. Work weekends occasionally
24. Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
25. Have 1-2 years of customer service/sales experience preferred; previous deli experience is a plus
26. Own a reliable vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license
27. Pass the company-issued ServSafe Manager exam

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 20 pounds frequently
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Push/pull carts containing product, occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Walking, reaching, use of both hands and arms
• Operate a motor vehicle
• Work in refrigerated cooler areas
• Work in a safety-sensitive position
