Job summary

Scheels All Sports, Inc. in Johnstown, CO is seeking a part-time Merchandiser to restock, price, and display merchandise while helping customers.

You'll work 15–20 hours per week with 2–3 evening shifts (5:00 PM–9:00 PM) and some weekends; the posted pay is $16.00 per hour. This role emphasizes teamwork, organization, and a careful, detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight and prepare merchandise for display on sales floor or back stock.
• Restock merchandise on the sales floor and bring products to the floor for display.
• Assist customers with retrieving and loading purchased products.
• Follow Line Leader checklist and merch guides to prioritize shop needs.
• Coordinate with Shop Managers and display teams on shop moves and mannequin placement.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in store and back stock areas.
• Demonstrate organization, multitasking, problem-solving, and owner-like accountability in merchandising.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Exercise sound judgment when interacting with all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrate attention to detail in tasks.
• Willing to perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership and Merchandising Lead.
• Shift may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to be organized, multitask, have problem-solving skills, and maintain all aspects of a merchandiser role

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), 1-3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Very heavy work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for heavy work.

Schedule and Compensation:

• Hours: Average of 15-20 hours per week
• The Shift: 2-3 evening shifts from (5:00 PM - 9:00 PM).
• Weekends: Minimum of every other weekend (Saturdays between 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM; Sundays 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
• Pay: The posted compensation is a base hourly rate of $16.00/HR.
