Description and Requirements

Role Overview

The Retail Service Lead Merchandiser is responsible for representing Acosta, our clients, and our customers by effectively leading and performing reset and remodel work, including plan-o-grams, new item placement, void corrections, and special merchandising activities. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, quick learner, attentive to detail, and works well independently or in a team. They should possess excellent organizational and communication skills and be capable of building strong relationships with business partners.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the organization and execution of resets, partnering with store personnel for scheduling and communication.
2. Follow plan-o-grams accurately, understanding merchandising and retail terminology.
3. Perform duties such as shelf cleaning, merchandise display, tagging, checking date codes, and processing packouts, restocks, and reorders.
4. Collaborate with store personnel and co-workers to maintain merchandising excellence and discuss changes.
5. Report issues and observations to the supervisor.
6. Utilize web-based applications for work scheduling, documentation, and training.
7. Prepare and manage documentation related to resets.
8. Follow safety protocols and use equipment properly, reporting unsafe conditions.
9. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. At least 2 years of customer service experience; retail and reset experience preferred.
2. Comfortable using technology such as smartphones and handheld devices.
3. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in cold environments temporarily.
4. Proficient in basic computer and communication tools.
5. Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and leadership skills.
6. Access to the internet daily and ability to work with web-based applications and email.
7. Valid driver’s license and ability to drive.
