Lead Retail Service Merchandiser - Description

The Retail Service Lead Merchandiser is responsible for representing Acosta, our clients, and our customers by effectively leading and performing reset and remodel work, including implementing plan-o-grams, new item placement, void corrections, and special merchandising activities. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, quick learner, attentive to detail, and works well independently or in a team. Strong organizational, communication skills, and relationship-building abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead reset organization and execution, partnering with store personnel for scheduling and communication.
• Follow plan-o-gram instructions accurately, understanding merchandising and retail terminology.
• Perform tasks such as shelf cleaning, merchandise display, tagging, checking date codes, and managing stock.
• Collaborate with store personnel and colleagues to achieve merchandising excellence and maintain effective relationships.
• Report observations and issues to supervisors.
• Use web-based applications for work scheduling, documentation, and training activities.
• Prepare and manage reset documentation accurately.
• Work safely, using proper safety techniques and alerting management to hazards.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of customer service experience preferred, with retail and reset responsibilities advantageous.
• Comfortable with technology (smartphones, handheld devices).
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in refrigerated environments.
• Proficient with computers, calculators, phones, and copiers; able to stand on a step stool.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and leadership skills.
• Access to the internet daily and ability to work with web-based applications and email.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive.
