Description and Requirements

Acosta is seeking motivated, career-minded candidates to join its network of retail merchandisers. Our success depends on hardworking, intelligent, and innovative individuals who implement our retail programs daily.

The Merchandiser Mandate Retail Service involves working in teams to perform reset and remodel tasks, including reading and implementing plan-o-grams, new item placement, void corrections, and special merchandising activities.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, quick learner, detail-oriented, and a team player. They should have excellent organizational and communication skills and be able to build relationships with business partners.

Responsibilities
  1. Read and follow plan-o-grams to complete reset and remodel work, with a good understanding of merchandising and retail terminology.
  2. Perform duties such as moving and cleaning shelves, installing racks, displaying merchandise, placing shelf strips, attaching tags, checking date codes, ensuring plan-o-gram integrity, and managing pack-outs, restocks, and reorders.
  3. Collaborate with store personnel and colleagues to achieve merchandising excellence and build effective working relationships.
  4. Report observations and issues to the Mandate Senior Area Manager or Area Manager.
  5. Use web-based applications accurately to indicate work availability, check schedules, accept assignments, record work details, mileage, expenses, and complete training activities.
  6. Prepare, process, submit, and manage documentation related to reset and remodel tasks.
  7. Work safely, demonstrating awareness of surroundings, using proper safety techniques, and alerting management to unsafe conditions.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Reliable transportation.
  • At least 1 year of experience reading and using planograms; retail and reset experience preferred.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Access to a computer with internet and email.
  • Comfortable using technology such as smartphones and handheld devices.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and leadership skills; effective communication skills.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate computers, calculators, fax machines, phones, cutters, copiers, tools, hand trucks, and pallet jacks; capable of climbing ladders and standing on stools.
