Job summary

McClatchy Media Company in McDonough, GA is seeking a Merchandiser Lead to service products across multiple stores. This on-site role requires travel within the territory, a strong merchandising background, and the ability to work a structured schedule.

You will supervise merchandising tasks, train junior merchandisers, and coordinate with the Supervisor. The position is full-time, non-exempt, with competitive wages including travel time.

Responsibilities

• 75% Merchandising: merchandise products in retail stores, replenish stock, assemble displays following guidelines; service stores as scheduled and obtain supervisor approval for overtime; record hours and data in designated system; discuss duties with supervisor before performing new tasks.
• 25% Team Leadership: train Merchandisers, back up Supervisor duties, assist with payroll reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Position: Merchandiser Lead

On-site position: will service product in multiple stores and travel between them

Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Location: McDonough, GA

Reports To: Supervisor of Merchandising

Servicing Zip Code (and surrounding areas): 30252

Compensation:

• Competitive Wage $18 to include Travel time between accounts is paid.
• Retention and/or Referral Bonus after 3 months. See Program Details for eligibility.

Average hours per week: 32 to 40

Direct Reports: None

Schedule:

• Assigned stores are serviced on designated weekdays according to the established schedule.

Travel: Travel expected up to 100% of the time to cover territory

Summary of Responsibilities:

75% Merchandising

• Work within a retail environment to effectively merchandise products by applying appropriate store and/or corporate Safely and efficiently replenish product. May assemble shelves/racks and display cases following measurement guidelines.
• Service all stores as scheduled within the allotted hours provided by Supervisor. Seek prior approval from Supervisor before working outside of scheduled hours.
• Contact Supervisor before working more than 10 hours in a workday or
• Accurately record work hours and other company-related information using designated
• Discuss duties requested by store personnel not listed herein with Supervisor before performing those

25% Team Leadership

• May train Merchandisers on appropriate merchandising
• Back up to Supervisor and fill in Supervisor duties, as May be assigned to approve payroll and run a variety of reports.
