Job summary

McClatchy Media Company is seeking a Merchandiser Lead to service multiple stores in Indianapolis, IN, with travel between accounts. The role is full‑time and on‑site, reporting to the Supervisor of Merchandising.

Average 32–40 hours per week, with travel up to 100% of the territory. The position requires 6 months to 1 year of merchandising experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to multitask and stay detail‑oriented.

Responsibilities

• 75% Merchandising: merchandise products, replenish shelves, and set up displays per guidelines.
• Service all stores per schedule; obtain supervisor approval for hours outside scheduled time.
• Record hours and relevant data using designated systems.
• Discuss duties with supervisor before performing unlisted tasks.

Compensation

• Competitive Wage $18 to include Travel time between accounts is paid.

Summary Of Responsibilities

75% Merchandising

• Work within a retail environment to effectively merchandise products by applying appropriate store and/or corporate Safely and efficiently replenish product. May assemble shelves/racks and display cases following measurement guidelines.
• Service all stores as scheduled within the allotted hours provided by Supervisor. Seek prior approval from Supervisor before working outside of scheduled hours.
• Contact Supervisor before working more than 10 hours in a workday or
• Accurately record work hours and other company-related information using designated
• Discuss duties requested by store personnel not listed herein with Supervisor before performing those

25% Team Leadership

• May train Merchandisers on appropriate merchandising
• Back up to Supervisor and fill in Supervisor duties, as May be assigned to approve payroll and run a variety of reports.
