A Full Time Merchandiser at Bell Nursery represents our company to clients and customers. The role involves visual merchandising, unloading and stocking shipments of live goods, and customer relations. The Merchandiser reports to local leadership and works with retail and receiving partners. Many team members return seasonally, becoming part of the family.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Follow company policies and promote the Bell Brand
• Maintain excellent client relationships
• Implement merchandising standards
• Communicate daily with leadership about obstacles
• Advocate for watering standards for live goods
• Stock displays and maintain order and planogram compliance
• Ensure signage is accurate and in place
• Check in and verify delivery orders
• Merchandise carts with signage and ensure they are shop-friendly
• Support inventory accuracy
• Assist team as needed

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and ready to take on challenges
• Interest or knowledge in plants and gardening
• Professionalism and strong communication skills
• Merchandising experience is a plus but attitude is more important
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stay organized and proactive
• Smartphone with Android 5.0+ or iOS 7.0+ for communication

Requirements

• Weekend availability preferred
• Opportunity for additional hours during peak seasons
• Reliable transportation
• Good communication skills
• Ability to climb ladders and use a pallet jack
• Ability to lift and bend pulling 50 lbs. regularly
