Job description

Greet customers on the sales floor and assist them in locating merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist if needed. Check out customers, deter shoplifters, and keep the front area stocked and organized according to planograms or displays. Complete sales preparation and ensure all sale signage and displays are current and attractive.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Merchandiser

• Greet customers and assist with merchandise location or direct to parts specialists for hard parts.
• Check in, price, and stock merchandise.
• Maintain merchandise display, ensuring it is fronted, full, and clean daily.
• Implement display changes based on company guidelines and planograms.
• Update all out-front pricing and ensure sale signs are in place during promotions.
• Remove sale materials and restore original pricing after sales end.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Collaborate with management on store tasks and team responsibilities.
• Serve as the main deterrent against shoplifting and maintain front floor security.
• Participate in O’Reilly Image Maker initiatives.
• Clock in and out according to company policy.

Cashier

• Check out customers efficiently and courteously at the front counter.
• Handle merchandise returns professionally.
• Assist customers at the express lane when busy, processing transactions and payments.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required: Good aptitude for number sequences, interpersonal communication skills, and organizational skills.

Desired: Previous cashier or stocking experience; ability to drive manual transmission vehicles; bilingual fluency (Spanish highly desired).
