Job summary

Coastal Beverage Company, Inc. in Eastern North Carolina, is seeking a RETAIL MERCHANDISER. This field-based role services and merchandises retail accounts, stocks beverage sections, and maintains displays to Coastal Beverage standards.

The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 7:30 AM to approximately 3:30 PM, with mileage reimbursement for business use of your personal vehicle. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, good reading and math skills, basic computer use,

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a high school diploma.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Computer skills including email and Internet use.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet driving record standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist sales and delivery by servicing and merchandising retail accounts.
• Stock and merchandise products; keep beverage sections, racks, and displays filled and displays current.
• Be present in customer accounts during designated hours to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain regular attendance to support merchandising operations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the sales and delivery departments by servicing and merchandising retail accounts in the best professional manner possible. Responsible for stocking and merchandising various products ensuring that all beverage sections, racks, and displays are completely filled, POS neat, clean and current and displays maintained according to Coastal Beverage Company's standards.

This is a field-based role requiring consistent presence in customer accounts throughout the day during designated standard business hours to ensure customer satisfaction.

Possess the ability to maintain regular and punctual in-person attendance to support merchandising operations and service customer accounts.

All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2. Possess education equivalent to a high school diploma.
• 3. Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.

• 5. Possess basic mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, use whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Possess the ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
• 6. Possess ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• 7. Possess computer skills requiring knowledge e-mail software, and Internet.
• 8. Possess ability to drive, valid driver's license, and a driving record compliant with company standards.
