Burpee Garden Products, the leading seed and gardening supplies retailer in the United States, has an immediate opening for Part-Time Seasonal Merchandisers for the 2027 season. Ideal candidates enjoy flexible hours within a designated territory and the opportunity to contribute to a well-established brand.

The role requires self-direction, the ability to work independently, and a willingness to learn through paid training.

Competenze

• Must have basic smartphone with email and internet access
• Must have own vehicle and valid driver's license with current auto insurance
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical merchandising tasks
• Retail merchandising experience preferred but training provided

Mansioni

• Set up and tear down Burpee Seed displays and fixtures
• Straighten and organize displays and ensure products are well-stocked
• Communicate reorders for designated accounts
• Complete all reporting weekly and accurately
• Develop positive relationships with store management
• Monitor inventory and count unsold packets at season end
• Report retail activity to Retail Merchandising Manager
• Perform additional merchandising activities as needed

Great opportunity to earn extra money while working for the industry leader! The ideal candidate will have previous retail merchandising experience. However, paid training is also available for the right individual.

You will contribute to the overall success of the organization by providing retail merchandising coverage within a designated retail territory. Burpee is offering flexible hours within a set territory, with the occasional need to assist in other areas when necessary.

Seasonal Retail Merchandiser Position Responsibilities:

• Set up and tear down of Burpee Seed displays / racking / store fixtures
• Straighten and organize displays
• Communicate reorders for designated accounts
• Complete all reporting accurately and timely (weekly)
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships with store management
• Monitor and report on inventory; itemize and count unsold packets at the end of the season
• Report all retail activity to your Retail Merchandising Manager on a regular basis
• Additional merchandising activities as needed

Seasonal Retail Merchandiser Position Requirements:

• Must have a smartphone with access to email and the internet
• Smartphone must be able to download apps and have functionality of apps
• Must have internet and email access
• This position can be labor intensive; must be able to lift, load, push and pull cartons weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, reach and squat while performing merchandising activities
• You must have your own vehicle
• Valid drivers' license and current auto insurance required
