Job summary

Core-Mark is seeking a Merchandiser in Sanford, NC to support our sales region by executing the SmartStock program and merchandising standards. You will work closely with the Sales Team to build strong customer relationships and ensure compliance with company policies.

The role focuses on call routines, display optimization, stock freshness, and timely problem solving, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a pay rate of $20 per hour for 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Ability to drive to customer locations using personal transportation (mileage and gasoline reimbursement provided).
• Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and proper valid insurance.
• 1-2 years of working experience in a customer service, merchandising or sales position.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a detailed and specific call routine with a designated ledger of customers.
• Maintenance and execution of the SmartStock program (racks, plan-o-grams, ordering, and merchandising activities).
• Identifying and reducing out-of-stocks on shelves.
• Ensuring products are fresh and within date code parameters.
• Attending to customer needs and concerns promptly.
• Ensuring plan-o-gram, marketing best practices, and compliance in stores.
• Identifying display opportunities and maximizing display positioning.
• Ensuring that products are properly displayed, priced, and identified.
• Finding solutions to possible customer challenges with assistance.
• Performing other tasks and duties as assigned.

Position Summary

As a Merchandiser, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our strategic sales initiatives in your assigned sales region, collaborating closely with the Sales Team in that area.
