Job summary

Core-Mark International is seeking a Merchandiser to support strategic sales initiatives in the assigned region. You will work with the Sales Team to execute the SmartStock program, ensure policy compliance, and provide merchandising and sales support.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• 1–2 years of experience in customer service, merchandising or sales.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a detailed call routine with a designated ledger of customers.
• Execute and manage the SmartStock program (racks, plan-o-grams, ordering, merchandising).
• Identify and reduce out-of-stocks on shelves.
• Ensure products are fresh and within date code parameters.
• Attend to customer needs and concerns promptly.
• Ensure plan-o-gram, marketing best practices, and in-store compliance.
• Identify display opportunities and maximize display positioning.
• Ensure products are properly displayed, priced, and identified.
• Assist with solutions to customer challenges with support.

Position Summary

As a Merchandiser, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our strategic sales initiatives in your assigned sales region, collaborating closely with the Sales Team in that area. Your responsibilities will encompass tasks focused on executing our SmartStock program, ensuring compliance with company policies, and providing merchandising and sales support. You will also be responsible for building strong relationships with customers in the sales region and supporting the Sales Team in addressing their needs and concerns. Your professionalism and business execution are critical contributions to driving business forward for our customers, vendors, and ourselves.

Position Responsibilities

• Performing other tasks and duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Ability to drive to customer locations using personal transportation (mileage and gasoline reimbursement provided).
• Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and proper valid insurance.
• 1-2 years of working experience in a customer service, merchandising or sales position.
