Job summary

Silver Eagle Distributors Houston, LLC is seeking a full-time Merchandiser to manage displays, POS placements, pricing, and rotation of products in grocery stores within the Texas territory.

You will restock, rotate, and build displays while ensuring proper POS and pricing for consumers. The role requires travel within the service area, lifting up to 50 lbs, and adherence to TAB C guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
• One year of general work experience preferred; grocery/bev knowledge a plus.
• Daily in-person travel within Silver Eagle service territories.
• Texas driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
• Personal vehicle capable of transporting up to 20 cases; proof of liability insurance.
• Must be able to work Saturdays, Sundays and some holidays.
• Able to handle alcohol and work within TAB C guidelines.
• Smartphone with camera and data capability.

Responsibilities

• Restock coolers, shelves and displays in assigned accounts.
• Rotate products according to Code Date policies.
• Help build displays with proper POS to meet retailer needs.
• Ensure POS communicates correct package and price to consumers.
• Use hand trucks, dollies and pallet jacks to move products.
• Build relationships with store personnel and clients.
• Aim to achieve top sales position with effective POS and brand coverage.
• Maintain knowledge of Silver Eagle’s brands and packages.
• Submit merchandising activity daily via Karma and for non-alcoholic products.
• Coordinate daily objectives with Supervisors and team members.
• Manage time to complete daily routes and tasks.
• Adhere to safety practices and company policies.

Position Summary

Merchandisers conduct daily activities in grocery stores including but not limited to building displays, Point of Sale (P.O.S.) placements, space management within T.A.B.C. guidelines, pricing of products, and the pull-up and rotation of product per Company Policy. What You’ll Do

• Restock coolers, shelves and displays in assigned accounts
• Rotate products in the backroom and on the shelf following product Code Date Policies
• Assist and/or build displays with proper P.O.S. per Company policy, to meet retailer needs and maximize product sales
• Ensure P.O.S. communicates the proper package and price to consumers
• Use equipment such as hand trucks, dolly's and pallet jacks to move product within an account
• Build customer relationships at the store level
• Continually strive to achieve the number one sales position in each account with proper P.O.S. to ensure Silver Eagle dominance
• Maintain knowledge of Silver Eagle’s complete and growing portfolio of Brands and Packages
• Submit daily merchandising mission activity via "Karma" and daily surveys for Non-Alcoholic products
• Communicate daily objectives with Supervisors and other team members
• Manage time effectively to route daily work needs
• Practice “Safety Always” by adhering to safe working practices, Company policies, rules, and regulations. Correct obvious hazards immediately or report to supervisor if not immediately correctable
• Work hours will vary daily due to business needs
• Other duties as assigned

What You Need To Succeed

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old
• High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent required
• One (1) year of general work experience is preferred. Prior grocery store or knowledge of the beverage market, a strong plus
• Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements
• Daily, in person travel within the service territories of Silver Eagle required
• A valid Texas drivers license with a driving record acceptable under company Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) guidelines
• A dependable personal motor vehicle, suitable for work use, and capable of transporting up to 20 cases of product and/or display materials with proof of liability insurance
• Required to work Saturday, Sundays, and some holidays
• Able to handle alcohol, and work within T.A.B.C Guidelines
• Must have a smart phone with a camera and data capability

The Physical Requirements

• This is a labor intensive position that requires lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling cases weighing between 20 – 50 lbs. per case and 160 lb. kegs in specialty accounts
• Merchandisers consistently bend, reach and squat while moving and stocking products
• Ability to operate a pallet jack, dolly, and six-wheeler cart
• Continuous standing and walking, up to 8 hours at a time
• Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus)
• Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions including high and low temperatures, wind, ice, humidity, rain, fog, hail, sleet and snow
• Daylight, twilight, evening and dark lighting conditions
• Noise, vibration, dust, dirt, airborne particles, fumes
