Job summary

Silver Eagle Distributors Houston, LLC is seeking an energetic Merchandiser to stock displays, manage POS placements, and rotate product in grocery accounts in Texas. The role involves travel within the service territories, lifting cases, and ensuring accurate pricing and packaging information is visible to customers.

Responsibilities include building displays, following Code Date Policies, fostering store relationships, and contributing to Silver Eagle’s market leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old
• High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent required
• One year of general work experience preferred; prior grocery store or beverage market knowledge a strong plus
• Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements
• Daily, in person travel within Silver Eagle service territories required
• A valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable MVR
• Personal vehicle capable of transporting up to 20 cases with proof of liability insurance
• Must work Saturdays, Sundays, and some holidays
• Able to handle alcohol and work within TAB C guidelines
• Must have a smartphone with data capability

Responsibilities

• Restock coolers, shelves and displays in assigned accounts
• Rotate products in backroom and on shelves following Code Date Policies
• Assist and/or build displays with proper POS per Company policy to meet retailer needs and maximize sales
• Ensure POS communicates correct package and price to consumers
• Move product within an account using hand trucks, dollies and pallet jacks
• Build customer relationships at store level
• Strive to achieve top sales position in each account with proper POS
• Maintain knowledge of Silver Eagle’s Brands and Packages
• Submit daily merchandising activity via Karma and surveys for Non-Alcoholic products
• Communicate daily objectives with Supervisors and team members
• Manage time to route daily work needs
• Adhere to safety rules and report hazards
• Work hours vary by business needs
• Other duties as assigned

Position Summary

Merchandisers conduct daily activities in grocery stores including but not limited to building displays, Point of Sale (P.O.S.) placements, space management within T.A.B.C. guidelines, pricing of products, and the pull-up and rotation of product per Company Policy. What You’ll Do

• Restock coolers, shelves and displays in assigned accounts
• Rotate products in the backroom and on the shelf following product Code Date Policies
• Assist and/or build displays with proper P.O.S. per Company policy, to meet retailer needs and maximize product sales
• Ensure P.O.S. communicates the proper package and price to consumers
• Use equipment such as hand trucks, dollys and pallet jacks to move product within an account
• Build customer relationships at the store level
• Continually strive to achieve the number one sales position in each account with proper P.O.S. to ensure Silver Eagle dominance
• Maintain knowledge of Silver Eagle’s complete and growing portfolio of Brands and Packages
• Submit daily merchandising mission activity via \"Karma\" and daily surveys for Non-Alcoholic products
• Communicate daily objectives with Supervisors and other team members
• Manage time effectively to route daily work needs
• Practice “Safety Always” by adhering to safe working practices, Company policies, rules, and regulations. Correct obvious hazards immediately or report to supervisor if not immediately correctable
• Work hours will vary daily due to business needs
• Other duties as assigned

What You Need To Succeed

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old
• High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent required
• One (1) year of general work experience is preferred. Prior grocery store or knowledge of the beverage market, a strong plus
• Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements
• Daily, in person travel within the service territories of Silver Eagle required
• A valid Texas drivers license with a driving record acceptable under company Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) guidelines
• A dependable personal motor vehicle, suitable for work use, and capable of transporting up to 20 cases of product and/or display material with proof of liability insurance
• Required to work Saturday, Sundays, and some holidays
• Able to handle alcohol, and work within T.A.B.C Guidelines
• Must have a smart phone with a camera and data capability

The Physical Requirements

• This is a labor intensive position that requires lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling cases weighing between 20 – 50 lbs. per case and 160 lb. kegs in specialty accounts
• Merchandisers consistently bend, reach and squat while moving and stocking products
• Ability to operate a pallet jack, dolly, and six-wheeler cart
• Continuous standing and walking, up to 8 hours at a time
• Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus)
• Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions including high and low temperatures, wind, ice, humidity, rain, fog, hail, sleet and snow
• Daylight, twilight, evening and dark lighting conditions
• Noise, vibration, dust, dirt, airborne particles, fumes
