Job summary

Core-Mark, a Performance Food Group company, is seeking a Merchandiser to support convenience store partners by implementing displays, maintaining planograms, and ensuring shelves meet Core-Mark standards. This field-based role requires daily use of your own vehicle, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to follow detailed merchandising instructions to maximize sales and profitability. Compensation: $18/hr.

Schedule: Monday-Friday – no weekends. Territory: St George, Mesquite, Ivens.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6+ months merchandising or related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to lift 5–25 lbs; up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Drive daily to assigned customer locations using personal vehicle.
• Meet store owners and staff to assess needs and provide merchandising support.
• Place and organize merchandise following planograms to Core-Mark standards.
• Set up and reset fixtures, shelves, displays, and remove discontinued products.
• Provide stocking, pricing, shelf-facing, and product rotation.
• Monitor sales and suggest substitutions to boost profits.
• Maintain clean, safe store aisles and build strong customer relationships.
• Accurately complete timesheets and logs as required.

Position Overview

As a non-managerial Merchandiser with Core-Mark, a division of Performance Food Group, you will play a key role in supporting our convenience store partners by implementing product displays, maintaining planograms, and ensuring our retail locations are properly merchandised for maximum sales and profitability. This position requires professionalism, diligence, and a strong commitment to customer service. This field-based role requires daily use of your own reliable personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Drive daily to assigned customer locations using your vehicle.
• Meet with store owners and staff to assess needs and deliver high-quality merchandising support.
• Place and organize merchandise in designated display areas, following detailed planograms to ensure all product placements align with Core-Mark standards.
• Set up and reset store fixtures, shelves, and displays. Remove discontinued or outdated products as needed.
• Provide stocking, pricing, shelf-facing, product rotation, and routine shelf and product cleaning.
• Monitor product performance using sales velocity reports supplied by the company and suggest discontinuing or replacing specific items in each store to help boost sales and profits.
• Monitor potential account problems and escalat concerns to Sales Representatives or Sales Managers.
• Ensure store aisles remain clean and safe for shoppers and store staff.
• Build and sustain strong customer relationships by delivering outstanding customer service and resolving concerns professionally.
• Maintain and care for assigned equipment.
• Accurately complete and submit timesheets and activity logs.
• Perform additional merchandising or operational tasks assigned by leadership.

Physical Requirements

Standing: 70% | Sitting: 30%

• Frequent bending, stretching, kneeling, squatting, turning, twisting, and climbing.
• Regular lifting of 5-25 lbs.; occasional lifting to 70 lbs.

Vehicle & Insurance Compliance Requirements

Candidates must use their vehicle and are responsible for maintaining active automobile insurance coverage through a personal policy. Minimum coverage requirements include:

• Bodily Injury (BI):
  • Per Person: $100,000
  • Per Incident: $300,000
• Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury (UM):
  • Per Person: $100,000
  • Per Incident: $300,000
• Property Damage: $100,000
• Deductibles:
  • Collision: $250 - $1,000
  • Comprehensive: $250 - $1,000

Insurance documentation must be submitted via the Cardata app or emailed to [e-mail] when any of the following occur:

• Initial set-up in the program
• Change of vehicle or insurance provider
• Renewal of the insurance policy

Note: Reimbursement cannot be issued without submission of the required documentation. Responding to reminders and documentation requests is crucial to maintaining eligibility

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent experience
• 6 + months of merchandising experience, stocking and/or client facing customer service.
• Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and proper valid insurance.
• Must be able to frequently lift products weighing from 5-25 lbs. throughout the day.
• Must be able to lift a case of product or tote which could weigh up to 70 lbs.

Preferred qualifications

• 1 + year of merchandising and/or retail experience
