Job summary

Burpee Garden Products is seeking Part-Time Seasonal Merchandisers for the 2027 season in Brewton, AL. The role offers flexible hours within a designated territory and occasional shifts in other areas. Ideal candidates have retail merchandising experience, but paid training is available.

You will set up displays, organize products, report weekly activities, and build positive relationships with store staff. Mileage reimbursement and employee discounts are included as part of compensation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down Burpee seed displays and fixtures.
• Straighten and organize displays and signage.

• Complete weekly retail activity reporting.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with store staff.
• Monitor inventory and count unsold packets at season end.
• Report activity to Retail Merchandising Manager; perform additional merchandising tasks as needed.

You will contribute to the overall success of the organization by providing retail merchandising coverage within a designated retail territory. Burpee is offering flexible hours within a set territory, with the occasional need to assist in other areas when necessary.

Seasonal Retail Merchandiser Position Responsibilities:

• Set up and tear down of Burpee Seed displays / racking / store fixtures
• Straighten and organize displays
• Communicate reorders for designated accounts
• Complete all reporting accurately and timely (weekly)
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships with store management
• Monitor and report on inventory; itemize and count unsold packets at the end of the season
• Report all retail activity to your Retail Merchandising Manager on a regular basis
• Additional merchandising activities as needed

Seasonal Retail Merchandiser Position Requirements:

• Must have a smartphone with access to email and the internet
• Smartphone must be able to download apps and have functionality of apps
• Must have internet and email access
• This position can be labor intensive; must be able to lift, load, push and pull cartons weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, reach and squat while performing merchandising activities
• You must have your own vehicle
• Valid drivers’ license and current auto insurance required
