Job summary

Burpee Garden Products is seeking Part-Time Seasonal Merchandisers for our 2027 season. Set up displays, stock products, and build positive relationships with store managers across our territory.

Flexible hours and independent field work offer a great way to earn extra money while representing a trusted gardening brand. The ideal candidate has retail merchandising experience or is willing to learn; you must have a smartphone, reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and be able to lift up to 50

Qualifications

• Previous retail merchandising experience preferred; paid training may be available.
• Smartphone with internet access and ability to download apps.
• Own vehicle with valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down displays, racks, and fixtures.
• Straighten and organize displays and stock items.
• Communicate reorders for designated accounts.
• Complete reporting weekly and accurately.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with store management.
• Monitor inventory and count unsold packets at season end.
• Report activities to Retail Merchandising Manager regularly.
• Execute additional merchandising tasks as needed.

Great opportunity to earn extra money while working for the industry leader! The ideal candidate will have previous retail merchandising experience. However, paid training is also available for the right individual.

You will contribute to the overall success of the organization by providing retail merchandising coverage within a designated retail territory. Burpee is offering flexible hours within a set territory, with the occasional need to assist in other areas when necessary.

Seasonal Retail Merchandiser Position Responsibilities:

• Set up and tear down of Burpee Seed displays / racking / store fixtures
• Straighten and organize displays
• Communicate reorders for designated accounts
• Complete all reporting accurately and timely (weekly)
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships with store management
• Monitor and report on inventory; itemize and count unsold packets at the end of the season
• Report all retail activity to your Retail Merchandising Manager on a regular basis
• Additional merchandising activities as needed

Seasonal Retail Merchandiser Position Requirements:

• Must have a smartphone with access to email and the internet
• Smartphone must be able to download apps and have functionality of apps
• Must have internet and email access
• This position can be labor intensive; must be able to lift, load, push and pull cartons weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, reach and squat while performing merchandising activities
• You must have your own vehicle
• Valid drivers’ license and current auto insurance required
