Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors in Katy, TX seeks a Visual Merchandising Specialist to execute planograms, coordinate fixtures and graphics, and ensure compelling store layouts.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent years of related work experience required.
• 2+ years of related experience in merchandising, space planning, or a similar field required.
• Working knowledge of the JDA Category Management Suite.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to communicate complex information in a clear, actionable way.
• Ability to prioritize workload across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with consistent accuracy in deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Execute visual merchandising strategies to support product presentation and store experience.
• Create planograms and coordinate fixture and graphic fulfillment.
• Review store setups for accuracy and implement space strategies.
• Collaborate with Merchants and Category Management to align space with plans.
• Analyze results and guide adjustments to assortment and space allocation.
