Job summary
American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Processor for our Distribution Center in Ottawa, KS. This full-time role supports our growing digital business by handling merchandise processing, loading/unloading shipments, and packing orders with attention to detail.

As a Merchandise Processor, your job is to provide excellent service to our stores and customers by performing all aspects of merchandise processing including loading/unloading shipments, unpacking/packing product, ticketing, counting, and filling orders. If you like a fast-paced, physical position that gets you up and moving, this could be the position for you!
- Ensure a safe work environment by keeping safety a top priority
- Perform picking, sorting, and packing orders using technology
- Count, record, and verify quantities of merchandise for orders
- Ensure production and quality standards are met
- Be open to performing other duties as assigned
- High school diploma, GED or some high school
- Adaptable to change by working within different departments
- Excellent counting skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain an excellent attendance and work record
- Must be 18 or older
- Lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend and stack cartons for up to 10 hours at a time
- Stand for long periods of time and walk continuously
- Pull merchandise from multiple levels of shelving or move merchandise as needed
- Climb stairs and perform work at platform heights up to 60 feet
- Lift up to 50lbs. Specific weight requirements may vary within each department
