Overview

The Merchandise Planner drives decisions & strategies that will deliver and maximize sales, margin, turn, and GMROI goals. They contribute to achieving a best-in-class planning and merchandising team that accomplishes company and departmental goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops Omni Channel department financial plans aligned with strategic goals.
  • Creates assortment plans with buyers, analyzing for gaps, opportunities, or liabilities.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure in-season delivery, course correction, and driving sales and GM while managing inventory. Includes analysis and forecasting at category and item levels.
  • Communicates strategies effectively to management, influencing business partners with sound analysis.
  • Aligns with vendors on sales and receipt forecasts, developing strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Partners with merchandise analysts to ensure inventory allocation aligns with overall flow, identifying gaps and maximizing productivity.

  • 5-7 years of experience, including 3+ years in planning or related merchandising roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
