Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is hiring at HomeGoods in Riverview for a store role focused on receiving, merchandising, and customer service.

You will help ensure efficient processing, proper tagging, and a clean sales floor while delivering an outstanding customer experience. Ideal candidates have 1 year of retail experience with some leadership exposure, can work flexible hours including nights and weekends, and possess strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Able to train others

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Trains and mentors Associates on merchandising and processing principles
• Orchestrates truck delivery and prioritizes processing of merchandise onto the sales floor
• Ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
• Communicates with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor
• Monitors productivity and coaches as necessary
• Organizes and rotates back stock for easy replenishment
• Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and signage standards
• Maintains safety and cleanliness in backroom area
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Promotes and supports store shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Promotes compliance with labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Provides recognition and constructive feedback
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs
