Job summary

The Line Studios, a fast-growing NY-based creative production studio, seeks a Merchandise Coordinator & Styling Assistant to manage sample flow, organize shoot-ready products, and support stylists and production teams on set. Responsibilities

  • Receive, label, track, and organize all incoming client samples and packages. Maintain accurate sample records within Asset Tracking and PM software, keeping clients and internal teams informed of sample status in collaboration with studio management.
  • Prepare products for shoots according to styling and client guidelines, including steaming, prep, and organization.
  • Manage sample flow across shoots, ensuring timely returns, transfers, and outbound shipments.
  • Flag missing, damaged, or delayed samples and proactively communicate issues to Production.
  • Support lead stylists with on-set assistance across still life, tabletop, ghost, flat lay, and on-figure shoots.
  • Assist with styling prep, including pulls, rack organization, accessory prep, and maintaining clean styling areas.
  • Maintain styling kits, tools, and supplies, and ensure styling zones are organized and shoot-ready.
  • Support set resets and styling adjustments between looks to keep shoots moving efficiently.
  • In collaboration with the on-set producer, ensure that client communication and expectations and clear, shot goals, and pacing are achievable.
  • Anticipate on-set issues and troubleshoot in real time, documenting updates in the PM tool.
  • Support the setup and breakdown of sets, including light prop builds and organization.
  • Update client-specific guidelines and internal workflows based on feedback and evolving needs.
  • Maintain and improve training documentation and personal SOPs in ClickUp.
  • Partner with Studio Operations to help elevate client experience, including hospitality and on-set support.
  • Assist clients, internal teams, and freelancers with questions, solutions, and day-of needs.
  • Continuously research e-commerce, styling, and production best practices to help improve studio workflows.

The Role

The Merchandise Coordinator & Styling Assistant plays a critical role in the day-to-day execution of e-commerce productions at The Line Studios. This position sits at the intersection of merchandise management, on-set support, and styling assistance, ensuring that products, people, and processes are aligned for successful shoots.

This role is highly collaborative and hands-on. You’ll be responsible for keeping samples organized and shoot-ready, supporting stylists and photographers on set, and helping production teams stay on track. You’ll be a key point of support in bringing our clients’ creative vision to life while maintaining operational accuracy and efficiency. This role reports to the Director of Creative Operations and works closely with Production, Styling, Photography, and Studio teams.

  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Google Sheets / Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivots, and data cleanup
  • Clear and professional communicator who collaborates well across teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, on-set environment
  • Proactive problem-solver who anticipates needs before they become issues
  • Interested in fashion, styling, photography, and e-commerce production
  • Aligned with a collaborative, respectful, and creative studio culture
  • Experience with Project Management tools (ClickUp) and Workflow management tools (Creative Force) is a plus
