Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with merchandising and freight processing tasks delegated by the Store Manager.
  • Support hiring, training, and development of store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.
  • Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
  • Ensure all areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, meet company standards, including recovery.
  • When the Store Manager is absent, assume direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
  • Process all corporate directives related to store activities, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
  • Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise following VIP and DSD policies and procedures.
  • Manage freight flow and assist in ordering and stocking merchandise, including frozen and refrigerated items.
  • Maintain stockroom organization and ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
  • Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items.
  • Assist in planning and implementing monthly Sales Planners.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prefer prior retail and management experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
