Responsible for assisting with merchandising and freight processing tasks delegated by the Store Manager. Assist with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform all opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not on the premises, have direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly Associates.
8. Process all SSC Corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
9. Handle additional store activity communications delegated by the Store Manager.
10. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD Policies and Procedures.
11. Assist in managing freight flow and meeting or exceeding productivity standards.
12. Assist in ordering, stocking merchandise, and maintaining stockroom organization.
13. Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily, and assist in planning, merchandising, and maintaining Clip Strips and Power Panels.
14. Support the planning and implementation of monthly Sales Planners.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
