Sam's Club in Augusta, GA seeks a merchandising & stocking associate to connect the dots so members can find what they need. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, help with club pick‑ups, and maintain a clean, ready‑to‑shop area. The role is physically demanding and gym-like in its activity level.
You will engage with vendors, assist associates, and ensure safe, organized displays while delivering top‑notch member service in a fast, dynamic environment.

Our merchandising & stocking associates connect all of the dots to make sure members can find everything on their shopping list, from everyday needs to special occasions. As a “mini tour guide,” you’ll help members find the special product they need and maintain a clean, member‑ready area. Depending on your shift, your job may include moving inventory in the backroom, unloading trucks, fulfilling club pick‑up orders or helping members while stocking shelves. This fast‑paced, physically demanding role is like being paid to go to the gym.
You will make an impact by:
Provides member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs; providing guidance and support regarding self‑service technology; assisting members with purchasing decisions; locating merchandise; resolving member issues and concerns; and promoting the company’s products and services.
Maintains safety of the facility according to company policies and procedures by conducting safety sweeps; following forklift spotting procedures; handling and disposing of hazardous materials safely; and reporting unsafe situations to management.
Maintains sales floor and merchandise presentation by properly zoning the area; stocking, arranging, and organizing merchandise; setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays; removing damaged goods; signing and pricing merchandise; identifying shrink and damages; and securing fragile and high‑shrink merchandise.
Monitors food and merchandise quality by ensuring product rotation, code dating, product recalls, and sanitation standards are followed; and ensuring prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise.
Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; applying the Open Door Policy; and executing business processes and practices with integrity.
Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicating progress and information; recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to change, difficulties, and feedback.
Ensures club pick‑up orders are filled by assisting with picking club pick‑up orders throughout the day and staging; and ensuring products are selected and staged according to company policy and procedures.
Live Better U is a company‑paid education benefit program for full‑time and part‑time associates in Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, including English Language Learning and short‑form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.
The hourly wage range is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
