Michaels in Rocky Point, NY is seeking a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution across truck processing, inventory routines, planograms, and visual standards. You will ensure accurate pricing, timely promotions, and a customer-ready store environment with strong workload planning and inventory management.

The role emphasizes leading SOP adherence, managing floor leadership as MOD, and overseeing stock movement, planograms, and Ship from Store fulfillment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, maintaining store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty (MOD) coverage for floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution processes for timely unloading and merchandise flow to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership to align staffing.
• Maintain in-stock levels via Store-In-Stock Optimization routines.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and presenting products per standards.
• Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards and product presentation.
• Support a clean, organized store environment including backroom and sales floor.
• Manage inventory accuracy and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant signage and product placement.
• Complete price changes on time to maintain pricing integrity.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment, ensuring accurate picking, packing and shipping.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving for compliance and inventory adjustments.
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction.
• Train, coach and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in maintaining Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
