Qualifications

MD or DO degree from LCME/COCA accredited school or ECFMG certification.
Residency accredited by ACGME or AOA.
Current unrestricted medical license in US or territories.
Minimum 1 year post-graduate experience within last 2 years.
Current BLS from American Heart Association with Hands-On skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct medical histories and physical examinations.
Review required medical tests and documents for consultations and histories.
Secure a thorough health history from the applicant and record findings.
Assess applicant medical documentation and render medical fitness opinion for programs.
Apply accession medical standards to determine medical qualifications.
Become proficient in applying standards to determine suitability for military service.
Provide utmost regard to applicant dignity and privacy.
Comply with HIPAA and Privacy Act; participate in MEPS reviews.
Respond to emails and update electronic medical documentation.
Communicate effectively with all parties and providers.
