Job summary

DPR Construction in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead on-site teams and manage Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing activities to meet project specifications, codes, and safety standards.

You will coordinate with project managers and MEP subcontractors, schedule resources, review daily field reports, and mentor staff to deliver high-quality results on time while upholding DPR’s culture of safety, integrity, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 7 years of MEP field engineering/construction management experience.
• 1–2 years in a managerial capacity preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred; OSHA 30 program completion within 6 months of hire is recommended.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Leads, manages, and develops a team of MEP professionals to achieve exceptional performance.
• Oversees all MEP-related construction activities ensuring safety and quality.
• Coordinates with project managers, MEP subcontractors, and suppliers to schedule resources and resolve issues.
• Ensures safety policies and regulatory requirements specific to MEP operations are followed.
• Reviews and approves daily field documentation and reports project status to leadership.
• Communicates project risks and opportunities to stakeholders.

Education

Associate's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction management, a related field, or equivalent experience

7 years of experience in MEP field engineering/construction management

1–2 years of managerial experience

OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred

First Aid and CPR certification required

Reviews and communicates project status, risks, and opportunities to leadership and relevant stakeholders, proactively addressing concerns to support project success. **Education Qualifications:** Associate's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction management, a related field, or equivalent experience required. **Work Experience:** 7 years of experience in MEP field engineering, MEP construction management, or a related field required. 1 - 2 years of experience in a managerial capacity preferred. **Certifications and Licenses:** Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Construction certification preferred.
