Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead the coordination and management of mechanical, electrical, and control systems startup and commissioning in alignment with contract documents and project schedules.

You will supervise equipment procurement, submittal reviews, and critical-path scheduling, while coordinating with subcontractors and the design team to resolve MEP issues and ensure project quality on site.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree strongly preferred in construction, engineering, or business; in lieu of a degree, additional experience may be acceptable.
• 4 years of experience in Mechanical or Electrical System Construction.
• 3 years combined experience in Mission Critical Construction, Hospital Construction, MEP Project Management, or Mechanical and Electrical System Start-up and Commissioning.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; strong leadership and team-building ability.
• Aptitude for coordinating and scheduling MEP activities; problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the startup and commissioning of MEP systems.
• Assist bidding mechanical and electrical trades; manage Equipment Procurement process.
• Develop MEP critical path schedule and track critical path construction, startup activities, and equipment deliveries.
• Review mechanical and electrical submittals; organize and conduct project meetings for critical MEP activities.
• Develop Methods of Procedure (MOP) for live environments and coordinate with subs and design team for conflicts.
• Coordinate and manage quality control for MEP systems construction; support third-party commissioning.
