Job summary

HITT Contracting, Inc. is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent in Virginia to lead startup and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. You will coordinate procurement, scheduling, submittals, and meetings with subs and design teams, ensuring on-time delivery and quality.

The role requires a four-year degree (or equivalent experience) and 4+ years in MEP construction, with travel as needed. We offer competitive compensation and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in construction, engineering, or business; or equivalent experience.
• 4 years experience in Mechanical or Electrical System Construction.
• 3 years combined experience in Mission Critical Construction, Hospital Construction, MEP Project Management, or Start-up & Commissioning.
• Strong communication skills; verbal and written.
• Strong leadership skills; able to build and lead a team.
• Capable in coordinating and scheduling MEP activities.
• Aptitude for problem solving.
• Ability to work independently.
• Motivated self-starter.
• Proficiency with computer software relevant to role.
• Preconstruction / Equipment Procurement Experience.
• Willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage startup and commissioning of MEP systems.
• Assist bidding mechanical and electrical trades.
• Manage equipment procurement process and critical path schedule.
• Coordinate and track critical path construction and startup activities.
• Review mechanical and electrical submittals and QA processes.
• Organize project meetings for MEP activities.
