Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking an MEP Senior Field Coordinator to join our MEP Building Technology team on projects across Culpeper, Richmond, Ashburn, Herndon, Manassas in Virginia. This is a full-time, in-person role supporting complex MEP coordination and field execution.

The ideal candidate will oversee MEP systems installation, manage trade partners and vendors, and help drive schedules, QA/QC, and startup activities to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial construction experience with large MEP systems.
• Proven ability to manage workforce, monitor progress, and resolve field engineering challenges.
• Experience managing complex MEP infrastructure projects such as data centers, airports, or other special-use facilities.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for managing client and trade partner relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and special systems coordination and installation for complex projects.
• Provide leadership and oversight to MEP trade partners and equipment vendors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Assist in developing and tracking schedules, monitoring QA/QC programs, and supporting the Energy Control and Safety Program.
• Manage punch lists, troubleshoot field engineering issues, and oversee start-up and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with project teams from pre-construction through commissioning and close-out to ensure successful delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and design partners while supervising trade partners and vendors.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with scheduling tools and QA/QC processes.
