Job summary

CP Engineers is seeking a Project Manager to lead MEP engineering projects for industrial and manufacturing clients from concept through construction. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders, overseeing budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality results.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of relevant experience in engineering project management and strong leadership in client relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred; significant MEP project management experience considered in lieu of a degree.
• 5-8+ years of engineering project management experience with MEP focus in commercial/industrial sectors.
• Experience managing MEP projects in manufacturing/industrial facilities with large mechanical/electrical systems.
• Background in industries such as pharmaceutical, food processing, automotive, warehousing/logistics, or advanced manufacturing.
• Strong client engagement, relationship-building, and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of building systems design, construction processes, and industrial facility requirements.
• Proficiency with project planning, task management, reporting, and analytics software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage MEP engineering projects for industrial and manufacturing clients from concept through construction.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and schedules; manage staffing, scope changes, contract compliance, profitability, invoicing and receivables.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, fire protection) to ensure project success.
• Oversee design reports, drawings, specifications, permit applications, and bid documents; review deliverables for contract compliance.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with codes and client requirements.
• Identify and manage project risks, delays, and conflicts; monitor profitability and take corrective actions.
• Support business development through proposals, presentations, and client relationship-building efforts.
