Dewberry's Richmond, VA office seeks an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead projects from concept through construction administration, acting as primary client contact. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver design excellence, on-time delivery, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include managing design documents, proposals, and billing, supervising design specialists, and guiding staff development within the MEPS group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or eligible for reciprocity within one year of start date.
• 8+ years of experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable of construction process.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Well organized with knowledge of codes, standards, life safety systems.

Responsabilités

• Maintain primary one-to-one contact with the client.
• Understand the client's needs and goals and that of his/her organization.
• Draft proposals for new projects and track through award; develop additional work with the client.
• Attend regular design meetings and issue meeting minutes.
• Oversee design and construction documents; sign and seal as Engineer of Record where applicable.
• Coordinate with Discipline Managers to schedule and assign personnel.
• Prepare storyboards and detailed project timeline.
• Provide quality control and coordinate among disciplines and outside consultants.
• Provide on-the-spot advice and decisions to Owner.
• Advise on project billing and assist in collections.
• Supervise submission of documents to reviewing authorities and respond to reviews.
• Attend pre-bid conferences and issue minutes and addenda.
• Conduct bid openings and tabulations; support CA phase to maintain client standing.
• Perform site visits, inspections, and commissioning activities as needed.
• Assist with recruiting and evaluating new MEPS staff.
