Job summary

A leading industrial maintenance contractor is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate construction projects while managing a team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in the relevant field and 10+ years of experience in construction and management. Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in construction, design, finance, and management.
• Professional Engineer credentialing is a strong plus.
• PE credentialing is not required but a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate construction activities.
• Manage Project Engineers, Superintendents, and Foremen.
• Initiate and maintain liaison with prime clients.
• Sets project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Directs activities to ensure work progresses on schedule and within budget.
• Prepares reports for management and clients; represents the company in meetings.
• Manages contract financials and project profitability.
• Leads daily field coordination meetings, weekly block schedule meetings, and monthly safety kickoff meetings.
• Mentors and assists with career development of team members.
• Provides additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

Project Manager Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and coordinates construction activities for mechanical and electrical industrial projects.
• Manages Project Engineers, Superintendents, and Foremen who supervise construction employees; charged with overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team.
• Initiates and maintains liaison with prime clients to facilitate construction activities.
• Establishes project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate policy boundaries.
• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure work progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Prepares project reports for management, clients, or others and represents the company in owner progress meetings.
• Manages financial aspects of contracts and is responsible for project profit or loss.
• Leads project team in daily field coordination meetings, weekly block schedule meetings, and monthly safety kickoff meetings.
• Mentors and assists with career development of other team members.
• Provides additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience and knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management.
