Project Manager – Mechanical / Electrical

The Project Manager will lead mechanical and/or electrical teams for large‑scale projects. Responsibilities include project planning, budget and schedule control, client relations, safety and quality assurance, vendor and subcontractor management, and coordination of submittals and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate construction activities for mechanical and electrical industrial projects across a wide variety of industries and clients.
• Manage Project Engineers, Superintendents and Foremen, ensuring overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the team.
• Initiate and maintain liaison with prime clients to facilitate construction activities.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy.
• Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure work progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Review status reports from project personnel and modify schedules/plans as needed.
• Prepare project reports for management, clients and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate project activities with governmental agencies and subcontractors.
• Understand and execute CPM‑based project schedules.
• Monitor and control construction through administrative direction of on‑site Superintendent to ensure project is built safely, on schedule and within budget.
• Represent company in Owner progress meetings.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts and be responsible for project profit or loss.
• Lead project team in daily field coordination meeting, weekly block schedule meeting and monthly safety kickoff meeting.
• Mentor and assist with career development of other team members.
• Perform additional assignments as directed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or construction management.
• 10+ years of experience in construction, design, finance, and project management.
• PE credentialing not required but strongly preferred.
• Excellent safety knowledge and ability to enforce safety laws and company policies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively at all levels.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules and subcontractors on large projects.
