Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company seeks an MEP Manager to oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing activities for multiple commercial projects in the Washington, DC metro area, including College Park, Arlington, and Herndon offices.

Candidates should have 3 to 20+ years in MEP management, strong leadership, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit. PE/PMP/LEED are a plus; you will manage budgets, coordinate with architects/contractors, and ensure safety and code compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science in a related field (MEP/engineering).
• Professional certification in MEP or PM is a plus (PE, PMP, LEED, CCP).
• Experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines across construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEP works across design to commissioning phases.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate MEP systems.
• Lead and manage engineers and subcontractors to meet deadlines.
• Review MEP designs for codes, specs and client requirements.
• Manage MEP budget and allocate resources efficiently.
