Job summary

The Whiting‑Turner Contracting Company seeks a qualified MEP manager for commercial projects in a fast-paced, team-based environment. The role oversees mechanical, electrical, and plumbing activities from design through commissioning, and coordinates with architects and contractors to integrate systems.

Candidates should have 3 to 20+ years of MEP management experience in construction or facilities management, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional certification in MEP engineering or project management is a plus.
• Experience across MEP disciplines (mechanical, electrical, controls, plumbing, fire alarm/protection, commissioning).
• Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods and project management.
• Leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MEP design software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of MEP codes and energy-efficient/sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEP work across design, installation and commissioning phases.
• Lead engineers and subcontractors; delegate tasks to meet deadlines.
• Review designs for compliance with codes, specifications and client needs.
• Manage MEP project budget and control costs; ensure safety standards.
