MEP Plumbing Designer

Schwenksville, PA | Full-Time

A well-established, industry-leading MEP design and drafting firm in the greater Philadelphia area is seeking a Plumbing Designer to support commercial, industrial, and institutional projects across the United States. This position plays a vital role in producing drawings used for BIM coordination, prefabrication, and installation.

What You’ll Do:
In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and drafting plumbing and fire protection systems using AutoCAD (Revit experience is a plus). You’ll work closely with project engineers, drafters, and other design professionals to develop coordinated plans for:

• Water supply & distribution systems
• Sanitary waste and vent systems
• Storm drainage and roof drains
• Hot water re-circulation systems
• Gas piping for boilers and mechanical equipment
• Pump and head capacity calculations
• Mechanical rooms and penthouse floors
• Underground piping and tank designs
• Demo plans, plumbing schedules, inverts, elevations, and legends

You'll also ensure that your work complies with relevant plumbing and fire protection codes and support field and construction teams as needed.

What We’re Looking For:
Required:

• 5+ years of experience in plumbing systems design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Solid understanding of mechanical/plumbing codes and standards
• Ability to draft accurate schematics and technical drawings with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team

Preferred:

• Revit and BIM coordination experience
• Certificate in Plumbing Systems Design (ASPE or similar)
• Experience with A&E, MEP, or specialty contractors

Role Details:

• Location: Onsite – Schwenksville, PA (local candidates only; Philadelphia-area preferred)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Pay: ~ +/- $33.65 – $38.46/hr. (~ +/- $70,000 – $80,000/year) Negotiable DOE
• Type: Full-Time, long-term employment (W2 with benefits)
• Environment: Business casual, team-focused
• Travel: None
• Background/Drug Screen: Not required
