Job summary

Holder Construction Group in Richmond, VA seeks an experienced MEP Manager to lead mechanical and electrical aspects on mission-critical facilities. This full-time, in-person role oversees trades, coordinates budgets, schedules, and commissioning from pre-construction to turnover.

You will manage a diverse MEP team, build strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers and vendors, and drive project success through rigorous cost control and effective leadership.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of commercial construction experience with large mechanical and electrical systems.
• Extensive experience with data centers and complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience developing project scopes, schedules, change orders and RFIs, and managing budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage all mechanical and electrical construction activities for Mission Critical facilities and related projects.
• Oversee Mechanical and Electrical Trade contractors and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate schedules, budgets, reports, and documentation for mechanical and electrical systems from pre-construction through close-out.
• Develop project scopes and schedules, coordinate change orders and RFIs, and manage project budgets and cost control.
• Monitor installation and start-up of MEP systems and commissioning of the project with the Engineer and Owner.
• Lead the HCC MEP Team and Trade Partners from groundbreaking through commissioning and turnover to the Owner.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with owners’ representatives, architects, engineers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.

About the Role

We are looking for an MEP Manager to join our MEP team on our project team in Richmond, VA. This is a full-time, in-person position.

• Strong ability to manage relationships with owners’ representatives, architects, engineers, and clients, while supervising subcontractors and vendors.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering.
• Experience leading teams through all phases of construction projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
