Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking an Intern for Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience in the MEP field.

The role supports mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls and low-voltage systems at a designated jobsite, exposing interns to complex building systems and project management challenges. Intern duties vary by education and skill level; Southern California positions offer an hourly rate of $28.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong interpersonal skills are required.
• Enjoys collaboration and solving problems with others.

Responsibilities

• Support MEP teams on a designated jobsite or project location during the internship.
• Gain exposure to complex building systems and MEP processes.
• Assist in applying mechanical, electrical, plumbing and controls knowledge to real-world scenarios.
