This is a direct position with our client partner.

Mainly, the MEP Engineer will be performing calculations and making suggestions on how to improve an area to be more efficient.

MEP Engineeris a professional responsible for planning and designing inMechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP)practice. MEP engineers work with architects and other construction professionals to ensure that the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are correctly designed, installed, and maintained. They also work with contractors to oversee the installation of these systems and ensure that they meet all necessary codes and regulations.

  • Responsible for reviewing plans and specifications per the project’s requirements.
  • Accountable for managing to oversee the work of subordinate staff.
  • Should prepare plans along with the specified and estimated cost of plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning and general piping system.
  • Advise the staff designer, supervisor, inspector and contract service provider regarding the installation and maintenance of the MEP system.
  • Analyze mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering problems & solutions.
  • Identify issues in the design, planning, management and delivering multiple projects.
  • Preparing and delivering effective presentations.
  • Communicate with the Project Director regarding any technical glitch that might hamper the construction progress.
  • Continually review the construction schedule during the progress of the site works regarding MEP services and report to the Project Director.
  • Take part in risk workshops and report any risks associated with MEP installations or general projects to the Project Director.
  • Prepare technical clarifications to suit on-site construction and coordination issues.
  • Monitor safety and health on the site.
  • Maintain an ongoing list of mechanical service defects for the contractor’s remedial action.
  • Undertake final project snagging and prepare a list of defects for the contractor’s action.
  • Attend project, site progress, and any mechanical services-related technical meetings directed by the project manager.
  • As required, prepare draft site/engineer’s instructions for the mechanical building services and issue them to the Project Manager.
  • Provide advice to the Project Director regarding any mechanical services related to variable costs that the Contractor may claim during the works.
  • Review and comment on the Contractor’s Operation and Maintenance manuals
