Job summary

Austin Commercial is currently seeking an MEP Engineer for our Texas Health Resources Plano Project. You will bring project engineering expertise to coordinate mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems on a high-profile healthcare construction site.

Qualifications

3-5 years of comparable MEP experience with a GC or mechanical contractor.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required (may obtain within first year).
Experience with RFI, submittals, and punch-list.

Responsibilities

Notifies subcontractors of commencement dates; expedites deliveries to avoid delays.
Participates in detailed estimating of cost and construction time; may negotiate with owners on change orders.
Prepares submittal schedule and coordinates submissions with subcontractors; maintains logs and ensures timely delivery.
Assists in verification of monthly subcontractor payment requests.
Responds to RFIs and clarifies technical issues with project architect/engineer.
Assists in compiling close-out documents and final project deliverables.
Participates in jobsite safety as outlined in Safety & Health Manual.
When not on a project, supports Estimating with detailed cost estimates.
