The MEP Project Designer at SCEG, a GF company, reports to a Managing Director or Director and is responsible for producing contract and presentation documents based on detailed instructions.
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Perform engineering duties in planning and designing HVAC and plumbing systems for various structures and projects.
Assist in completing design elements, project documentation, and collaborate with team members and clients.
Coordinate project designs, review drawings, perform site inspections, and conduct load calculations using industry software.
Develop mechanical drawings, specifications, and coordinate with vendors and other disciplines.
Strong design and presentation skills, proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Office, HVAC software like HAP and Trane Trace, and duct sizing tools.
Knowledge of project development processes and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering.
10+ years of experience.
PE license or ability to acquire one within six months.
