Job summary

S Y Lee Associates, Inc. seeks an experienced MEP Electrical Designer to support the design and production of construction documents for a variety of projects including commercial, educational, municipal, healthcare, private, and public-sector work.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with electrical building systems and be proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit, delivering accurate, coordinated construction documents while collaborating with engineering and project management teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of MEP electrical drafting/design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit required.
• Experience with electrical building systems preferred.
• Experience preparing construction documents for commercial or institutional projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical construction drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Develop electrical plans, details, schedules, single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and related construction documents.
• Support production of power, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, emergency power, low-voltage systems, and other electrical drawings.
• Assist with electrical system design under the direction of engineers and project managers.
• Prepare and update drawings through various design and construction phases.
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and other disciplines.
• Incorporate engineering markups, plan-check comments, and client comments into construction documents.
• Review drawings for accuracy, coordination, and completeness.
• Maintain company drafting/BIM standards and meet schedules.
