The candidate must be capable of understanding engineering designs, preparing accurate technical drawings, resolving site-related design issues, and coordinating with the client, consultants, and project execution team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of MEP drafting and design experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise MEP shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Develop HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting drawings.

• Coordinate with site engineers, project team, and client representatives.

M/s LK Engineers is looking for an experienced and technically strong MEP Draftsman cum Designer for our ongoing project in Karnal, Haryana. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in MEP drafting, designing, coordination, and execution support.

The candidate must be capable of understanding engineering designs, preparing accurate technical drawings, resolving site-related design issues, and coordinating with the client, consultants, and project execution team. As this project involves a demanding client and high-quality standards, strong technical knowledge, accuracy, and independent working ability are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise MEP shop drawings, working drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Develop and coordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and other MEP drawings as per project requirements.
• Read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP design drawings.
• Prepare coordinated layouts, sections, elevations, equipment layouts, and service-routing drawings.
• Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies and service clashes before execution.
• Coordinate with the site engineers, project manager, consultants, and client representatives.
• Incorporate client and consultant comments and submit revised drawings within stipulated timelines.
• Conduct site visits and verify actual site conditions against approved drawings.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and technical documentation.
• Support material quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation wherever required.
• Ensure drawings comply with approved specifications, applicable standards, and project requirements.
• Provide timely technical support to the execution team and ensure drawings are available before site activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in MEP drafting and design.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit MEP and BIM coordination experience will be an advantage.
• Practical understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Ability to independently prepare and modify MEP drawings.
• Good knowledge of shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Experience handling consultant/client comments and working under strict project deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
• Candidates with hospital, healthcare, commercial, or other complex building project experience will be preferred.

Salary and Facilities

• Salary: 50,00070,000 per month, depending on experience and technical capability.
• Accommodation: Provided by the company.
• Other allowances, travel expenses, and facilities are not included in the offered package unless separately approved in writing.
