Responsibilities
- Coordinate all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety and fire sprinkler scopes on a day‑to‑day basis.
- Manage the owner‑architect interface and oversee planning and installation for electrical, HVAC, controls, plumbing, process piping, fire/life safety, and fire protection design/construction coordination (validated and non‑validated systems).
- Provide construction support for MEP systems and oversee balancing, commissioning, and validation certification, including turnover package.
- Assist in developing full commissioning plans for all MEP systems, identifying test requirements, required inspections, factory start‑up of major equipment, factory acceptance testing, project and vendor documentation requirements, and integrated test plans demonstrating full system operations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as an MEP coordinator, preferably within DPR’s core markets.
- Strong grasp of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts.
- Good understanding of fire/life safety and fire sprinkler systems and their integration with mechanical/electrical/building systems.
- Good understanding of test and balance requirements.
- Good understanding of direct digital controls installations and integration.
- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to run complex meetings, document minutes promptly, and follow up with participants for deliverables.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex issues, create and support team morale.
- Proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, and scheduling.
- A strong work ethic, can‑do attitude, and flexibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred but not required.
