Job summary

McKinstry in Chicago, IL, seeks a Superintendent to lead on-site management of subcontractors and client relationships for Prime MEP projects. You will develop schedules, review submittals, and coordinate with trades to drive project success.

Required: Commercial General Contractor experience and OSHA 30; MS Project/Primavera/SureTrak skills; leadership of trades. Competitive pay and strong benefits offered.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• OSHA 30 certification required or to be obtained within 6 months.
• Commercial General Contractor experience required.
• Working knowledge of scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera and/or SureTrak).
• MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Project; SharePoint preferred.
• Four years leadership of trades and job sites preferred.
• Knowledge of construction management and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update project schedules.
• Approve daily work tickets and coordinate with trades.
• Review submittals and manage job site logistics.
• Coordinate work with subcontractors and vendors.
• Write and review scopes of work.
• Assist Project Manager with bid procurement.
• Manage and close out punch list items timely.
• Communicate with field personnel and maintain logs.
• Develop logs/reports for project execution; daily site logs.
• Develop RFIs to document changes to scope.
