Job summary

Power Design in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Construction Specialist to support MEPl projects on site. You will help keep materials flowing, assist with site preparation and clean-up, and collaborate across electrical, plumbing, and mechanical teams to provide general labor support.

Ideal candidates may have prior construction or labor experience; training is provided. You will work outdoors in varying conditions, uphold safety standards, and contribute to a productive, team-driven worksite.

Qualifications

• Prior construction or labor experience preferred, but not required (training will be provided).
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, bending) and work outdoors.
• Willingness to support multiple trades and learn new skills.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and safety commitment.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams with material handling, including unloading, distributing, and staging materials on site.
• Assist with site preparation and clean-up, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
• Perform basic tasks such as trenching, pulling wire, conduit support, equipment setup, and tool handling under the direction of skilled tradespeople.
• Collaborate with electricians, plumbers, and mechanical teams to provide general labor support across trades.
• Follow safety standards and protocols to maintain a safe worksite for everyone.
• Learn and apply basic construction techniques to prepare for growth opportunities within the trades.
• Support project documentation needs such as labeling, inventory tracking, and jobsite reporting.
