At RWJBarnabas Health, our Food and Nutrition team plays an important role in supporting each patient’s care and overall hospital experience. As a Menu Technician, you’ll work directly with patients to help them select meals that meet their individual needs and prescribed diets. Through attentive customer service, accurate order entry, and close collaboration with patients, families, dietitians, and clinical teams, you’ll help ensure meals are both satisfying and appropriate for each patient’s plan of care.
In this role, you’ll be:
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a high school diploma and the ability to read and write in the English language. Candidates should demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately process patient meal selections in accordance with physician diet prescriptions and departmental guidelines. The ability to use computer-based systems, communicate effectively by telephone and in person, maintain patient confidentiality, and work collaboratively with patients, families, clinical staff, and Food and Nutrition team members is essential.
